let's see here, its been a while

valentine's day was beautiful, I spent it cleaning my toilet
with proper elegance and care, taking out time for the one
I love the best.

no really, I was so busy that I completely forget that valentine's day
even existed or happened or occurred, whatever it had some romantic
meaning once and now is like everything a giant hallmark card

I can't believe how poorly the west has responded to this muslim cartoon
crisis, now don't get me wrong I am all for freedom of expression
but come on there is a time and place for everything

a good friend of mine is a muslim and he told me that the first
thing you learn..day 1... of muslim sunday school is that you are not
allowed to draw the allah or the prophet, bottom line, everything else has slight
shades of grey here and there but that is one of the big no no's.

I never really knew that, and it definitely changed my perception
on the whole conflict.

at the same time though, I would still allow paper's to print the comics,
but would question why the
same paper thought that it was alright to
make fun of the muslim faith
yet when they tried to print comic's representing the pope they were censored and
not printed, seems like you gotta stick to your freedom ideals and not
pander to one religion or another.
