familiar morning

woke up the other day, still stuck in a familiar dream
same ones that hangs on from time to time,
burning little holes in my eyes
past nights and early morning psalms of dylan and
anne sexton.

wake to the night and sigh
blanket the earth with sadness

and know that the only one that will hear

still waking you every morning...

But what am I supposed to do???

the sox gave me the beautiful little present
