Waiting to hear the ghost of Vietnam

I have so reason, what so ever
why we should not just pack up our bags
and leave iraq

it makes no sense to stay there
and increase the desire for insurgents
and terrorists to enter the country

things are already bad, and how much worse could it
get if we left the region.
would it cause the region to hate the US

no worries we have already established that

we would simultaneously bring the entire world back into
the arena, save our troops lives, and save billions of dollars.

We could move troops to kuwait, saudi arabia, and elsewhere
and then enter the country if a civil war explodes
(which is gonna happen if we stay there or not)
by leaving we will allow the country to start taking
care of itself, end the constant threat of our military
and again if conflict envelops, give the UN an opportunity to enter
this war and help solve the problem, like they have to do
in every other country that is having a civil war,
congo, haiti, somalia, sudan...etc.

if we are staying in the region just because we have some
bullshit machismo notion of not backing down from a fight
then we are going to ultimately end up like Vietnam
there is no way in avoiding it
we will be there for another 10 years

and then when we leave,
the country will explode into a civil war then.

do we wait and let our troops die
or do we actually try to help them solve their
social clashing by seeing how they organize
their country.
